The Who - Quadrophenia
Quadrophenia is the sixth studio album by the English rock band The Who, released on 26 October 1973 by Track Records. It is a double album and the group's second rock opera. The story follows a young mod named Jimmy and his search for self-worth and importance, set in London and Brighton in 1965. It is the only Who album to be entirely composed by Pete Townshend.
The group started work on the album in 1972, trying to follow up Tommy and Who's Next, which had both achieved substantial critical and commercial success. Recording was delayed while bassist John Entwistle and singer Roger Daltrey recorded solo albums and drummer Keith Moon worked on films. Because a new studio was not finished in time, the group had to use Ronnie Lane's Mobile Studio. As well as the group's typical playing styles, especially from Moon, the album makes significant use of Townshend's multi-tracked synthesizers and sound effects, and Entwistle's layered horn parts. Relationships between the group and manager Kit Lambert broke down irretrievably during recording and he had left the band's services by the time the album was released.
Quadrophenia was released to a positive reception in both the UK and the US, but the resulting tour was marred with problems with backing tapes replacing the additional instruments on the album, and the stage piece was retired in early 1974. It was revived in 1996 with a larger ensemble, and a further tour occurred in 2012. The album made a positive impact on the mod revival movement of the late 1970s, and the resulting film adaptation, released in 1979, was successful. The album has been reissued on compact disc several times, and seen a number of remixes that corrected some perceived flaws in the original.

Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols
Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols is the only studio album by English punk rock band the Sex Pistols, released on 28 October 1977 by Virgin Records.
At the time of its release, the band was already extremely controversial, having sworn on live TV, been fired from two record labels, and been banned from playing live in most parts of England. The album's title added to that controversy, with some people finding the word "bollocks" offensive. Many record stores refused to carry the album and some record charts refused to list the album, showing just a blank space instead.

In the mid-1960s Clapton left the Yardbirds to play with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. Immediately after leaving Mayall, Clapton formed the power trio Cream with drummer Ginger Baker and bassist Jack Bruce, in which Clapton played sustained blues improvisations and "arty, blues-based psychedelic pop".[5] After Cream broke up, he formed blues rock band Blind Faith with Baker, Steve Winwood, and Ric Grech. Clapton's solo career began in the 1970s, where his work bore the influence of the mellow style of J. J. Cale and the reggae of Bob Marley. His version of Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" helped reggae reach a mass market.[6] Two of his most popular recordings were "Layla", recorded with Derek and the Dominos; and Robert Johnson's "Crossroads", recorded with Cream. Following the death of his son Conor in 1991, Clapton's grief was expressed in the song "Tears in Heaven", which was featured on his Unplugged album.
Clapton has been the recipient of 18 Grammy Awards, and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. In 2004 he was awarded a CBE at Buckingham Palace for services to music.[7][8][9] He has received four Ivor Novello Awards from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award. In his solo career, Clapton has sold more than 130 million records worldwide.[10] In 1998, Clapton, a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, founded the Crossroads Centre on Antigua, a medical facility for recovering substance abusers.[11]

Sir Cliff Richard OBE (born Harry Rodger Webb, 14 October 1940) is a British pop singer, musician, performer, actor and philanthropist. Richard has sold more than 250 million records worldwide.[1] He has total sales of over 21 million singles in the United Kingdom and is the third-top-selling artist in UK Singles Chart history, behind the Beatles and Elvis Presley.[2]
Richard was originally marketed as a rebellious rock and roll singer in the style of Little Richard[3] and Elvis Presley. With his backing group, The Shadows, Richard dominated the British popular music scene in the pre-Beatles period of the late 1950s to early 1960s.[4]His 1958 hit single, "Move It", is often described as Britain's first authentic rock and roll song, and John Lennon once claimed that "before Cliff and the Shadows, there had been nothing worth listening to in British music."[5][6] Increased focus on his Christianity and subsequent softening of his music led to a more middle of the road pop image and he sometimes ventured into contemporary Christian music.
Over a career spanning almost 60 years, Richard has amassed many gold and platinum discs and awards, including three Brit Awards—winning Best British Male twice and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and two Ivor Novello Awards. He has had more than 130 singles, albums and EPs make the UK Top 20, more than any other artist.[7] Richard has had 67 UK top ten singles, the second highest total for an artist behind Elvis Presley.[8] Richard holds the record (with Elvis Presley) as the only act to make the UK singles charts in all of its first six decades (1950s–2000s). He has achieved 14 UK No. 1 singles,[9] and is the only singer to have had a No. 1 single in the UK in five consecutive decades: the 1950s through to the 1990s.[10]
Richard has never achieved the same impact in the United States despite eight US Top 40 singles, including the million-selling "Devil Woman" and "We Don't Talk Anymore". In Canada, Richard achieved comparatively more success, with a successful period in the early 1960s, and again in the late 1970s and early 1980s with some singles and albums reaching gold and platinum status.[11] He has remained a popular music, film, and television personality in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Northern Europe and Asia, and he retains a following in other countries.
Richard has been a resident in the United Kingdom for most of his life, but in 2010, he confirmed that he had become a citizen of Barbados.[12] When not touring, he divides his time between living in Barbados and Portugal.[13]

"Ain't Giving Up"
(with Sigala)
When you're so in love
Sometimes you gotta take a chance to break through
And when the world is not enough
That's what gives you everything or breaks you
Feeling empty, feel used
It's like we're running off fumes
A little broken, confused
But one thing I know for sure
Ain't giving up on you, ain't giving up on you
Ain't giving up on you, ain't giving up on you
Ain't giving up on you
Oh, oh, oh, ain't giving up on you
Oh, oh, oh, ain't giving up on you
Oh, oh, oh, ain't giving up on you
Ain't giving up on you
Oh, oh, oh, ain't giving up on you
When the going gets tough
Just remember it's me and you for life
And when the world is not enough
Baby, are we worth the fight?
Feeling empty, feel used
It's like we're running off fumes
A little broken, confused
But one thing I know for sure
Ain't giving up on you, ain't giving up on you

The reason for this exclusive early release lies unconfirmed, although some say 7Digital and Woolworths had made "special arrangements" with Warner Music Group so that they were able to grab more of the market than any of their rival companies.

Sexy thong, mini-skirt, stilettos on, shakin' all that (and all that) (let's dance)
What you doin' to me girl I can't hold back
Some hot stuff is all that I need
So why we waitin' (oh)
(Let's dance) get on the floor no need to hold back
Sexy thong, mini-skirt, stilettos on, shakin' all that (and all that) (let's dance)
What you doin' to me girl I can't hold back
Some hot stuff is all that I need
So why we waitin' (let's dance)
[Bridge]
The way that you move it's got me feenin for more
The glare of the strobe lights getting down on the floor
Syncopated reactions girl well that's how I do
But it ain't about me no it's all about you
Don't want this to stop so let the record just play
Till the crowd wants the re-wind get it from the DJ
Girl I wish that we didn't have no clothes on at all
But before we head to the door
[Chorus]
(Let's dance) get on the floor no need to hold back
Sexy thong, mini-skirt, stilettos on, shakin' all that (and all that) (let's dance)
What you doin' to me girl I can't hold back
Some hot stuff is all that I need
So why we waitin' (oh)
(Let's dance) get on the floor no need to hold back
Sexy thong, mini-skirt, stilettos on, shakin' all that (and all that) (let's dance)
What you doin' to me girl I can't hold back
Some hot stuff is all that I need
So why we waitin'
Let's dance
